This research objection is to understand deeply in Japanese family structure, history, membership, socialization, tradition, and any changes to this structure. This research method is an anthropology methodology which collect datas or informations by interviewing. From researchin 27 families in Sukhumvit area, it was found that 1. Japanese family is a nuclear family that have one or two childs average per one family. Moreover, Japanese family is a patrilineal descent characteristic that husband have to responsible for earning income for his family and wife is to take care of their children and home service. However, they both have to decide together in case of a important matter or problems. 2. The unique idea for the first son who is an inherit descendant that is being disappear in Japanese family ; for instance, the model family called IE in japan. Japanese family in Thailand do not limit absolutely for a descendant nowadays. 3. Socialization for Japanese family is still rather strict. When they grow up to be adult, they have own independent lives both women and men. However, it will be more slightly strict for women than men. 4. Japanese community in Bangkok is a heterogeneity which is composed of various kinds of Japanese people : rank, status, social, age, satisfaction, and so on. But it does not a horizontal relationship but is a vertical relationship whenever they always involve or contact with organization or group. 5. Almost all interviewees are educated in university. And it does not have any different education between women and men. It is shown that there is equivalent both women and men. 6. A Japanese behavior or pewrformance as tradition is becoming decrease when comparing with the former family. 7. At present, Thai culture assimilate to Japanese family circle life in education, belief, or others. For instance, most Japanese family educate their children to study in Thai school or take them to go to Thai temple to learn for it. 8. Japanese family always contact to their former culture : father, mother, relatives. This result that they still consere their unique culture up to present.
