The objective of this thesis was to study the housing need of Internet users in Thailand, their decision on accommodation buying, and their accessibility to housing information via the Internet. The data was collected from an accidental sample of 450 Internet users by means of questionnaires through the Internet. According to the findings, the majority of the sample are male. 45.1 per cent of the group are in the 20-25 age range, 40 per cent in the 25-35 age range and 14.9 per cent in the over 35 age range. The sample group was categorized into two subgroups by age 25 criteria. The study concluded that the younger than 25-year-old group, interested in Internet, has an ideal house in mind without a real need for housing, while the other group has a real need for a house. Furthermore, groups have different preferences for location. The farmer group prefers houses in the business center in the south of Bangkok. On the other hand, the latter prefers those in the west and the northeast of Bangkok. However, both groups prefer detached houses ranging from 1,500,001 to 3,000,000 baht. In addition, they use housing information from the Internet as a supplementary information source in making housing comparisons for their decision making.
