The purposes of this quasi experimental research were to study the self-efficacy in using nursing process of the first year nursing students before and after being taught by using self-regulatory training program, and to compare the alteration of self-efficacy rate in using nursing process between the students who participated self-regulatory training program and were taught by conventional teaching method. The samples were 44 first year nursing students of Baromratchonanee Chonburi College of Nursing which were assigned into the experimental group and the control group by using randomized block design method. The pretest-posttest control group design were used in this study. The experimental group was used by self-regulatory training program, and the control group was taught by conventional teaching method. The research instruments were a self-regulatory training program and self-efficacy in using nursing process measurement. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, and t-test statistic at .05 level. The major findings were the following: 1. The self-efficacy in using nursing process of the nursing students before being used by self-regulatory training program was low and after being used was high. 2. The alteration of self-efficacy rate in using nursing process of the nursing students who participated in self-regulatory training program ws significantly higher than those who were taught by conventional teaching method, at .05 level.
