Wong Khub Mai is the ensemble for Royal ceremony of Thailand since ancient time. It is the root ensemble of Mahori in Ayudhaya period. The Royal elephant lull is an important Thai Royal ceremony which derived from Brahminism about white elephant's belief. Wong Khub Mai plays an important role in this ceremony, clearly settles down since the early Radanakosin period (King Rama II) until present time. Wong Khub Mai cf the Fine Arts Department is the only ensemble in existence today. It is composed of the experts in performing which is derived directly from Wong Khub Mai in Rama VII reign.
