บทบาททางด้านความมั่นคงขององค์การสนธิสัญญาแอตแลนติกเหนือ (นาโต) ในยุคหลังสงครามเย็น / ศศิธร รักษ์แก้ว = NATO's security roles in the post-cold war era / Sasithorn Rakkaew
The main purpose of this study is to examine the security roles of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in the post-Cold War era. The thesis focuses on NATO's strategic adaptation to the new European security environment at the beginning of 1990s and NATO's security roles in relation with all European countries as well as with other international organizations. NATO also has to adapt its roles to suit the national interests of some particular great powers such as the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and the Russian Federation. The research found that it was the United States' initiative to bring NATO toward drastic reforms. And it was the United States that would gain mostly from the newly adapted NATO in the post-Cold War era.
