This research is to compare six textbooks of Praya Sri Sunthonwohan (Noi Acharayangkun) which are Mulabotbanpakit, Wahanitnikon, Aksonproyok, Sangyokphitan, Waipotpichan and Phisan – Karan to five previously used textbooks : i.e. Chindamani Book I, Chindamani Book II, Prathomkoka, Prathommala and Aksonnitti, as regards to the content, the order of presentation of content and the instructional plan ; the second part of research is to analize linguistically those textbooks of Praya Sri Sunthonwohan (Noi Acharayangkun). The result of research reveals that Praya Sri Sunthonwohan (Noi Acharayangkun) conceived his textbooks and systematically adapted from Prathomkoka, Aksonnitti and Chindamani Book I. He had clear and exact instructional plan to emphasize on developing skills in reading and writing. The linguistic analysis shows that the sequence of some lesson – plans does not quite conform to linguistic principles owing to his concentration primarily on writing and spelling.
