The purposes of this study were to study the professional nurse instructors’ task activities in Mahidol University, and to compare the differences in instructors task activities between Faculty of Nursing (Siriraj Hospital) and Nursing Department, Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital. A sample was drawn by a simple random sampling for 130 nurse instructors in Mahidol University. The questionnaire developed by the researcher were tried out with 15 nurses instructors in Bangkok Metropolis Nursing College, Division of Nursing College, Public Health Ministry. Then 126 copies of revised questionnaire were distributed to the sample. One hundred and twenty six were completely filled out. Various statistical methods have been used such as the percentage, arithematic mean, standard deviation and t – test. The major findings are as follow: 1. The arithematic mean of the professional nurses in structors’ task activities in Mahidol University were statistically significant different at the .05 and .01 level in the area of teaching and professional administration accordingly, and the others were not differents. 2. The arithematic mean of 22 -29 years of age, nurses instructors’ task activities in Mahidol University were not statistically significant different s at the .05 level in all areas. 3. The arithematic mean of 30 -35 years of age, nurses instructors’ task activities in Mahidol University were statistically significant different at the .05 level the area of teaching, nursing administration, professional administration, textbook writing and other developmental responsibilities and the others were not differents. 4. The arithematic mean of the baccalaureate nurses instructors’ task activities in Mahidol University were statistically significant differents at the .05 and .01 level in the area of teaching and professional administration accordingly, and the other were not differents. 5. The arithematic mean of task activities of nurses instructors beyond baccalaureate level in Mahidol University were statistically significant different at the .05 level in the area of professional administration, textbook writing and other developmental responsibilities and at the .01 level in the area of teaching but the others were not differents. 6. The arithematic mean of task activities of nurses instructors with 1 – 5 years of teaching experience in Mahidol University was statistically significant different s at the .05 level only in the area of teaching, and at the .01 level in the area of professional administration, and the others were not differents. 7. The arithematic mean of task activities of nurses instructors with over statistically significant differents at the .01 level in the area of teaching, nursing service, professional administration, and other developmental responsibilities and at the .05 level in the area of professional administration, research and textbook writing, and the others were not differents.
