Fresh leaves of Murraya Paniculata (Linn.) Jack were extracted with methanol and the obtained material was further extracted by chloroform, hexane and ether, respectively. Each crude was separated by colum chromatography, quick column chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography, from which ten compounds were separated. Identification was carried out by using physical and chemical properties including IR, 1H-and 13C-NMR, 2D-NMR and mass spectra. Seven identified compounds were 7-geranyloxycoumarin, l-methyl-murrangatin, 7-methoxy-8-(1-hydroxy-2-methoxy-3-methyl-3-butenyl) coumrin, murrangatin, 7-methoxy-8-(1-acetoxy-2-oxo-3-methylbutyl) coumarin, 7-methoxy-8-(1-hydroxy-2-oxo-3-methylbutyl) coumarin and isomeranzin. The other three conpounds were expected to be a 7-methoxycoumarin derivative, a steroid and a triterpenoid.
