The purpose of this research was to study opinions concerning consumer’s rights of health care services in University Hospitals, Bangkok Metropolis and to compare the difference of opinions of each group of health care provider with consumers, and also the difference among those three groups of providers. The selected sample of this research was 60 providers of registered nurse, head nurse and doctor and 60 consumers from in-patient, out-patient and private-patient in medical and surgical wards in Siriraj and Ramathibodi Hospitals, and it was a purposive random sampling. The instrument was an interview from constructed by the researcher, and it consisted of 8 areas, there were consumer’s rights in receiving care, rights to live, rights to persuit of happiness, rights to maintain dignity, rights to having safety, rights to have property, rights to express about health care received and rights of religions freedom The instrument was tested for content validity and reliability. The reliability was .96. Then data were analyzed by using various statistics such as: percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, T-Test and F-Test. The Major Finding: 1. There was no statistically significant difference on opinions between registered nurses’ group and the consumers’ group concerning consumer’s rights of health care services, Therefore, the hypothesis was not retained. There was a statistically significant difference on opinions between registered nurses’ group and the consumers’ group concerning rights of religions freedom at .05 level, and between registered nurses’ group and consumers from out-patient wards concerning rights to maintain dignity at .05 level. 2. There was no statistically significant difference on opinions between head nurses’ group and the consumers’ group concerning consumer’s rights to health care services, Therefore, the hypothesis was not retained. There was a statistically significant difference on opinions between head nurses’ group and consumers from out-patient ward concerning rights to maintain dignity at .05 level. 3. There was no statistically significant difference on opinions between doctors’ group and all consumers concerning consumers’ rights to health care services, Therefore, the hypothesis was not retained. There was a statistically significant difference on opinions between doctors’ group and consumers from out-patient ward concerning rights to maintain dignity at .05 level. 4. There was no statistically significant difference on opinions among those three groups of registered nurse, head nurse and doctor concerning consumers’ right of health care services. Therefore, the hypothesis was retained.
