The purposes of this research were to study and analyse the verbal interaction between teachers and Mathayom Suksa Four students in teaching-learning Thai language and to compare the percentage of the verbal interaction between teachers and students. The population samples used in this research consisted of 20 teachers and students in20 classes from government schools. The data were collected by means of Flanders’ Interaction Analysis Technique (FIAT) with four additional verbal interaction of students. This research was computed by means of percentage of each verbal interaction in classroom by comparing the percentage of verbal interaction between teachers and students. The results of this research were : 1. The verbal interaction in teaching-learning Thai language at M.4 between teachers and students were 75.09%, for that of teachers and 16.74% for that of students and 8.16% for that of silence and confusion. 2. The sequence [frequency] of verbal interaction were 2.1 The time the teachers and students spent in speaking were 75.09% and 16.74% 2.2 The time the students spent in reading individually and in groups were 6.36% and 5.77% 2.3 The time the students spent in reading individually and in groups were 0.76% and 2.83% 2.4 The time the teachers spent in motivating and controlling the students’ between were 5.87% and 2.93% 2.5 The time the students spent in initiation and in speaking were 0.92% and 16.74% 2.6 The time the teachers spent in lecturing and speaking were 49.07% and 75.09% 2.7 The time the teachers spent in indirect influence and direct influence were 18.89% and 56.20% 2.8 The time the teachers ask questions and in speaking were 13.02% and 49.07% 3.
