Compensation administration in an organization is very critical to the management as a whole. It can be used as means to improve working efficiency, to control the standard costs of personnels in accordance with job status and production output. It can also be used to refect a fair empolyee/employer relation, to create and maintain an excellent image for the company. This case study has been observing one particular paper industry of a medium size and used as an example. The objectives are to analyse their compensation administration, the problems occured there in, and develop some improved ways in dealing with these problems. The project included writing job descriptions for their personnels, job evaluation, wage & salary structure, and performance appraisal. From the study, it is found that the administration of the compensation is still not fully satisfactory. The pay is still too low compared with other companies of approximately the same size. It also does not reflect the true performance of each personnel. Some position are still paid not enough. All these can be improve by devising an appraisal form. The result of this study will certainly help to motivate personnels, increase their performance, Their efficiency, as well as facillitate the effective control of costs. Ultimately the relationship between the personnels and the management will accord greatly.
