บทบาทของผู้ใหญ่ในครอบครัวในการถ่ายทอดวัฒนธรรมผ่านการเล่นและของเล่นเพื่อพัฒนาบุคลิกภาพเด็กปฐมวัย : ศึกษาเฉพาะกรณีบ้านเก่า อำเภอโคกสำโรง จังหวัดลพบุรี / พวงทอง นิลยิ้ม = The role of adults in family in enculturating children's personality development through play and toys : a case study of Ban Kao, Khoksamrong District, Lopburi Province / Poungthong Ninyim
This study attempts to understand the role of adults in enculturating children’s personality development in socio-cultural setting of the village through play and toys. The data were obtained during January 1992-December 1994 by the participant observation technique from 25 children aged 0-5 years in Ban Kao village, Lopburi Province. The analysis revealed that the adults in the family played a significant role in raising, teaching, enculturating their children by using play and toy as means of enculturation. Since children engaged in play and toys at almost all the time or whenever the opportunity available, the adults could teach or enculture their children regularly, This persistent instill could implant children with wide range of experience and develop their personality. The study also found that from children’s activities with play and toys, they were expected to gain some characteristics such as cheerfulness, relationship with others, kindness and industriousness.
