The purpose of this study was to survey the problems of physical education teachers in implementing the upper secondary school syllabus 2518 B.E. of government schools in educational region 5. Questionnaires constructed by the investigator were sent to thirty physical education and health education teachers in sixteen upper secondary schools. They are twenty-four men and six women. All questionnaires were returned and percentage method was used in the analysis of the data; then presented in a table form. The results of this study showed that the majority of the schools were short of physical education teachers, lacked of textbooks, curriculum guides, equipment and facilities. The objectives of physical education stated in the syllabus were practicable. Most teachers had no problems in teaching health education but had a lot of those in teaching physical education because the required courses were not suitable for local environments, students, conditions and lacked of teaching equipment. Principle supported and understood the role of physical education well. Supervisors seldom helped the teachers to solve any problems. Most of physical education and health education teachers accepted the criteria of scoring recommended by the Department of Physical Education but not those for final grading. Most of them changed the raw scores into T-Scores for determining of the final grades.
