The purpose of this study was to investigate the problems in implementing lower secondary school curriculum 2521 B.E. : physical education of the governmental schools in educational region 3. Questionnaires were sent to 69 physical education instructors in the provincial area, and 74 in the amphur area, 96 and 97 percents of questionnaires were returned, respectively. The obtained data were analyzed in terms of percentages, means, and standard deviations. A z-test was employed to determine the significant difference. It was found that: 1. The problems most encountered by implementing the lower secondary school : physical education curriculum in the provincial area were concerning the difficulties in teaching and conducting physical education according to the stated objectives and also the problems concerning teaching course of takraw 1 and 2. However, problems most encountered by physical education instructors in the amphur area, in addition to having difficulties in teaching and conducting the physical education according to the stated objectives, they also had problems in the teaching course of stunt and tumbling 1 and 2. 2. There was a significant difference at the .05 level between the opinions of the physical education in structors in the provincial and the amphur area on problems of implementing the lower secondary school: physical education curriculum in the area of the teaching and conducting physical education according to the stated objectives in the course of track and field 1 and 2, krabi 1, basketball 1, and takraw 1.
