The purpose of this research is to study the information seeking behavior on fertility of Thai woman as well as to study the relations between exprosure behavior to mass media for the required informations and age, education and income. It is also aimed to evaluate the possibility of adopting Rogers’ Communication Models for the Family Planning Communication strategy. The target population were the 260 currently married women aged 15-45 who attend the out patient clinic of Chulalongkorn and Sirirate Hospital. The data was collected through interviewing with-in a month. The results indicate that the main source of fertile information is interpersonal communication rather than mass media. Moreover The flow of information is based on interperson as well especially the influence is strong when the relationship is intimated as peers or relatives. For the comparative outcome, it is found that there is no relationship between age and mass media exprosure or information seeking from mass media. On the other hands, education states fairly close relation both to mass media exprosure and required information seeking, while income is also related to mass media exprosure but not to fertile information seeking. Rogers' Communication Model is proved to be successful when applied to use as communication patterns for fertility aspect. It is recommended that the family planning strategy would be complete if both fertility and infertility are planned together.
