The purposes of this study were (1) to study the utilization of science laboratories of secondary schools with different enrolments of General Education Department in educational region one, (2) to find the normal expectancy of the utilization of science laboratories of secondary schools in educational region one. The utilization value of the laboratories were room utilization and space utilization, UNESCO standard criteria was 75 percent. In collecting data, the researcher used the Science Laboratory Survey Form which was modified from Choomsri Boonsit. The data gathered from eighty two -secondary schools in educational region one. The findings were as follows: 1. In educational region one, there were the percentage utilization rate of large, medium and small science laboratories was 75.09, 76.83 and 63.29 respectively. The percentage rate of apace utilization per student was 118.61, 121.25 and 87.40 respectively. When compared with the utilization value of science laboratories of UNESCO standard criteria was 75 percent, the percentage utilization rate of large and medium secondary schools was higher than UNESCO standard criteria. The percentage utilization rate of small secondary schools was lower than UNESCO standard criteria. The percentage rate of space utilization of science laboratories per student of secondary schools of all size was higher than UNESQO standard criteria. 2. The normal expectancy of science laboratories of secondary schools in educational region one was 71.33. The normal of space utilization per student was 108.19. The normal expectancy of the utilization of science laboratories was lower than UNESCO standard criteria. The normal expectancy of the percentage rate of space utilization of science laboratories per student was higher than UNESCO standard criteria.
