The main objective of this research is to analyze the development and trends of media industry within the framework of changes in economics, politics, and technology of the society. The Nation Group, a media business organization, is selected as a case of the study. Findings indicate that The Nation Group started from English newspaper, business and later has diversified to many related business. Benefits that The Nation Group acquires are same information can. be used in many channels, more advantageous in business, more income and better image in the society. The adaptability of media industry' to suit with outside environment in order to survive in the free market are integration that has vertical integration and horizontal integration, diversification and internationalization. All processes lead to media concentration. As for trends of newspaper industry in information society, the study tends to prove that will change its in contents to be more investigative with more foreign news. Newspaper organization will extend to cycle business: generating its own data base, expanding to radio and television media cooperating with foreign countries. In the last aspect, newspaper organization tends to set up training staff institution to prevent the shortage of human resource.
