The psychology programs of five universities in the Philippines are interpreted and analyzed in terms of program objectives and philosophy; admission requirements; incorporated general education requirements; and specialization aspects in the program. Discusses psychology majors' attitudes toward the subject in general, facilities, and instructors; their problems in and outside college; and their suggestions for the improvement of the curriculum. Refers to the higher education system in Thailand in relation to the status of psychology courses offered as general education requirements. Emphasizes the need for a program for psychology majors in Thailand, giving cultural similarities between Thailand and the Philippines. A five-year program is proposed to Chulalongkorn and Chiang Mai Universities, recommending course distribution, psychology courses' structures, and other guidelines for the program. [TAIC]
