The purposes of this research were: (1) to develop SQ4R Teaching Method with Analogy technique. (2) to study the effects of using the SQ4R Teaching Method with Analogy technique with reading comprehension. Experimental research method was employed in this study. The research of Randomized Pretest - Posttest Control group design. The sample used in this study is that sixth -grade students were randomly selected classrooms. Experimental groups and a control group of 36 students. Descriptive statistics and statistical inference analysis comparing average scores in reading comprehension. Before and after the trial of the experimental group. And compare the average score in reading comprehension posttest of students between the treatment and control groups. Using the statistical t-test The results of this research shown that, the effects of using SQ4R Teaching Method with Analogy technique for Reading Comprehension Skills include (1) classroom activity and teaching plan. For the content of instruction is based on the basic education curriculum BE 2551. Thai subject content standard 1.1 reading material, Second, Part is classroom activity which consist of six steps: (1) Survey (S) to read the story beefy to see the overview (2) Question (Q), set the question for main idea. For the first and second steps adopted analogy technique to look at the relationship 3) Read (R) to read text thoroughly in order to understand the content and answer questions from the story (4) Record (R) the students record the information from step 3 based on their understanding. For stage there and four adopted analogy techniques to connect with concepts or ideas to Identify the characteristics that are similar and different, and write a concept map. (5) Recite (R), make conclusion using their own words (6) Reflect (R) learners criticize and comment the reading, linking the text with their thoughts using the language correctly. Overall average of 3.60, which is very satisfactory according to predetermined criteria. The average of the reading comprehension skills of the experimental group received instruction. The process of teaching reading SQ4R with Analogy technique higher than before the experiment at a statistically significant level. 05 The average score in reading comprehension of experimental group students whom have been taught by the instructor using SQ4R with Analogy technique was higher than post test score with significant level .05 The average of the reading comprehension of a control group whom have been taught by the instructor using SQ4R with Analogy technique was higher than the students whom received traditional teaching method with significant level. 05
