Online Taiwan Lecture: A Distant Exploration of Literary Writings and Historical Documents in Classical Chinese

You are invited for participation in online Chinese Studies lecture on "A Distant Exploration of Literary Writings and Historical Documents in Classical Chinese" organized by Center for Chinese Studies, The National Central Library of Taiwan (R.O.C.). The lecturer will present the selected experiences on digital humanities and computational applications in digital analyses of Chinese classic literary works and historical documents from the dynasties of Ming, Qing, Tang, and Song including the methods and uses of analytical software, text analysis, optical character recognition, as well as deep learning in solving computational linguistics issues in the Chinese classical literatures.

Prof. Chao-Lin Liu, a distinguished Professor who serves as the Associate Dean of the College of Science, National Chengchi University, and the incumbent president of the Taiwanese Association for Digital Humanities, will be presenting the valuable experiences in this online lecture.
