The 3rd Online Taiwan Lecture: The Dawn of Western Science as Cultural Authority in China: Tianyanlun (On Heavenly Evolution) in the post-1895 debate over preserving China

You're invited to participate the 3rd Online Taiwan Lecture "The Dawn of Western Science as Cultural Authority in China: Tianyanlun (On Heavenly Evolution) in the post-1895 debate over preserving China's dogma." Assoc. Prof. Sean Hsiang-Lin Lei, Associate research fellow from the Institute of Modern History, Academic Sinica, Taiwan (R.O.C) will be the lecturer delivering the knowledge for the event.

This lecture discusses the historiography of Western Science in modern Chinese thought. Debates the context of China's dogma "On Heavenly Evolution" (Tian Yan Lun) and Darwinism concept so-called Western Science (Xīxué gézhì) which investigates thing to acquire knowledge.
