Application of Science and Technology for Community Water-Related Disaster Risk Reduction: Thailand Good Practices Following His Majesty the King's Initiative Towards Sustainable Development

Exhibits good practice of Thailand’s communities in applying science and technology to manage water, natural resources, and disaster risks in accordance with His majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy. Includes case studies on water management, agricultural improvement, drought and flood reduction in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Tak , Surat Thani, and Ubon Ratchathani province. Presents forestry risk reduction in Lao River Basin Communities, community-based tourism in Nong Kai, Canal Street building in Buri Ram, Canal Community in Pathum Thani and holistic water-related management in Nakhon Pathom.
