The objective of this independent study is to construct strategic plan for Siam Gabions Company, am importer and supplier of geotechnical products in Thailand. The company was established in 2002 to be sole distributor of Maccaferri industrial group from Italy. Maccaferri is a global manufacturer of geotechnical products. Siam Gabions has become one of the leader in geotechnical products industry in Thailand from designing and developing advanced projects for customer with experience and expertise in geotechnical engineering of the company’s technical team. In the past 5 years, Company performance was unstable with prospect of declining performance. The company has to review the direction and construct strategic plan that suitable with changing business environment. The strategic plan was developed from the analysis of both internal and external environment combine with customer survey that aim to understand customer’s behavior. The analysis could be formulated 4 strategic plan consist of short-term plan that are (1) Penetrating the coming mega projects by proposing full system solution with bundled products through concerned government offices and consulting companies. (2) Launch new double twisted product, ‘PoliMac’ to differentiate from competitors. (3) Develop online communication channel to reach more customers. Long-term plan that is (4)Invest in manufacturing facility for double twisted products in Thailand with ISO 9001 and TISI certified. From proper implementation of 4 strategic plan, company could expect the increase in revenue, higher customer satisfaction, gain competitive advantage and sustain growth of the company. The investment is THB 1.66 million with payback period of 1 year.
