The purposes of this research were: 1) to compare pre and post-test of analytical thinking abilities in programming robots within and between two of technology-enhanced scaffolding in project-based learning of lower secondary school students and 2) to compare pre and post-test of problem solving ability in programming robots within and between two of technology-enhanced scaffolding in project-based learning of lower secondary school students. The samples were 23 seventh grade students enrolled in robot programming at Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Secondary School. The samples were assigned into 2 groups; the first group studied with hard scaffolding and the second group studied with soft scaffolding. The research instruments were 1) placement test, 2) analytical thinking skill test, 3) problem solving skill test, and 4) robot project evaluation form. An independent-samples t-test was conducted to compare two types of technology enhanced scaffolding. The findings of this study were as follows: 1. The students who studied with hard and soft scaffolding had post-test score of analytical ability higher than pre-test score at the statistically significance at .05 level. There was no statistically significant difference between analytical ability of students who studied with different types of technology enhanced scaffolding at the .05 level.2. The students who studied with hard and soft scaffolding had post-test score of problem solving ability higher than pre-test score at .05 level. There was no statistically significant difference between problem-solving ability of students who studied with different types of technology enhanced scaffolding at the .05 level.
