The study is aimed at analyzing H.R.H. Prince Narisaranuvatiwongse's holistic wisdom together with the contributing factors to the wisdom under the Thai social context between 1863 and 1947 and to propose guidelines for the inheritance of his holistic wisdom. The research approach is of two folds, i.e. historical and qualitative, and comprises the study of H.R.H. Prince Narisaranuvatiwongse's bibliography, content analysis, observation, participation in activities, and qualitative interview. The study revealed that H.R.H. Prince Narisaranuvatiwongse was highly intuitive of and knowledgeable about all disciplines of traditional Thai art, including painting, sketch, sculpture, architecture, crafting, literature, music, and performance. His wisdom and well-roundedness derived from his own continual study, practice, experiment and development since his very young age and the creative rendering of exquisite, picturesque, and sublime objet d' art through the integration of all art disciplines. In this regard, H.R.H. Prince Narisaranuvatiwongse was found to holistically link his profound knowledge and wisdom with the aesthetic ideals, creating supreme quality works that became rare and most valuable cultural heritage of Thailand. He, therefore, has been highly regarded as the 'diamond' of all Ratanakosin artists. The proposed guidelines for the inheritance of H.R.H. Prince Narisaranuvatiwongse’s holistic wisdom are, first, to adopt as examples and adapt H.R.H. Prince Narisaranuvatiwongse’s learning methods and self-practice; second, to regard his thinking and holistic works as 'Muses' that help inspire the thinking process for all art creation; third, to adopt as guidelines H.R.H. Prince Narisaranuvatiwongse’s holistic thinking and working process for the development of art curriculum at all levels, especially higher education; and, fourth, to inherit or preserve works that reflect the holistic thinking of H.R.H. Prince Narisaranuvatiwongse, the Supreme Teacher of Thai Art.
