การให้บริการลูกค้าถือเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญของการดำเนินธุรกิจในทุกวันนี้ การให้บริการที่ดี จะทำให้ลูกค้าเกิดความประทับใจ ซึ่งส่งผลต่อยอดขาย และภาพลักษณ์ขององค์กร อย่างไรก็ตาม คุณภาพของบริการ และค่าใช้จ่ายมักเป็นอุปสรรคที่สำคัญที่จำกัดประสิทธิภาพของการให้บริการ ดังนั้นได้มีความพยายามที่จะพัฒนาระบบช่วย เช่นระบบแผนกช่วยเหลือ ระบบถาม-ตอบแบบคำถามพบบ่อย มาใช้เป็นเครื่องมือแก่พนักงานบริการ เพื่อช่วยในการลดค่าใช้จ่าย และเพิ่มคุณภาพของงาน วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อออกแบบและพัฒนาระบบสนับสนุนการแก้ไขปัญหาลูกค้าโดยใช้ต้นไม้ตัดสินใจร่วมกับระบบสารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์ ซึ่งผู้วิจัยใช้ "โครงการเครือข่ายข้อมูลข่าวสารและธุรกิจชุมชน" เป็นกรณีศึกษา ระบบที่พัฒนาขึ้นในงานวิจัยนี้เป็นระบบที่ทำงานผ่านเว็บ โดยใช้ซอฟท์แวร์ระบบแสดงผลด้วยกรณี และเครื่องมือสร้างข้อมูลสารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์ เป็นเครื่องมือหลักในการพัฒนา นอกจากนี้ ผู้วิจัยได้นำระบบที่พัฒนาขึ้นมาทำการทดลองเปรียบเทียบกับการทำงานแบบไม่ใช้ระบบ พร้อมทั้งทำการศึกษาความพอใจของผู้รับบริการ ประสิทธิภาพการทำงานของพนักงานบริการ รวมไปถึงผลกระทบที่เกิดขึ้นเนื่องจากการใช้ระบบอีกด้วย จากผลการวิจัยพบว่า การใช้ระบบที่พัฒนาขึ้น ส่งผลกระทบต่อ 5 ปัจจัยหลักคือ ความสามารถในการแก้ไขปัญหา ประสิทธิภาพในการแก้ไขปัญหา ค่าใช้จ่ายในการแก้ไขปัญหา เวลาที่ใช้ในการแก้ปัญหา และคุณลักษณะของการแก้ปัญหา
Customer service has become an important factor of everyday business. Good services lead to good customer impression, which usually increases revenues and impression, which usually increases revenues and improves corporate images. However, quality of services and costs are two important obstacles limiting the effectiveness of the services. Thus, there are attempts to develop systems such as help desk system and FAQ engine to be used as tools for servicing staffs to reduce costs and improve quality of services. The objective of this is to design and develop the customer problem solving system using decision tree and geographic information system. We use "The information and business community network project" as a case study in our research. The system in this research is web-based and has been developed using a case-base reasoning software and geographic information system software as the main development tools. In addition, we have conducted experiments to compare the effectiveness of the customer services with and without our system. We have studied the customers' satisfaction, the effeciency of servicing staffs, and the impacts due to the use of the system. The studies indicated that using our system affects 5 important factors including problem solving capability, problem solving efficiency, problem solving cost, problem solving time, and problem solving characteristics.
