Report of the First ASEAN Conference on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice
Presents the report of the First ASEAN Conference on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (ACCPCJ). Explains the emerging threats of wildlife and timber trafficking in ASEAN, crime prevention strategies aimed at children and youth in urban areas, and effective offender rehabilitation and prison reform for vulnerable groups. Recommends the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme Network Institutes (PNI) as a partner for the sustainable ASEAN community, and threats and challenges of transnational organized crime. Includes women’s access to justice in Southeast Asia, prison and social enterprise in Thailand, and Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ) youth forum on justice and the rule of law.
