Southeast Asia and China: A Contest in Mutual Socialization


Highlights the relations between China and Southeast Asia in the political, economic, and normative dimension. Focuses on political dimension, including unresolved split with ASEAN, and the strategies of three combative front-line states, China, the Philippines and Vietnam, and Indonesia and Malaysia. Analyzes China-ASEAN economic relations, the future of ASEAN-China trade relations, and One Belt One Road(OBOR) and China-Southeast Asia. Includes sovereignty and normative integration in the South China sea in Malaysian perspectives and the institutional foundation and features of China-ASEAN connectivity.
