World Employment Social Outlook 2016: Transforming Jobs to end Poverty

1.   Examines the interrelationship between decent-work-friendly policies and poverty reduction, focusing on types of jobs and earnings for the poor, as well as good policy design and implementation to transform jobs and income for ending the poverty. Investigates global poverty trends, income gap in accordance with its sources and types of the poor’s jobs, and economic growth. Mentions the mechanism for poverty reduction, covering labour standards, labour rights, productivity improvement in agricultural sector, labour market and social policies.
