APPLY NOW - 26 May 2017  (Free of Charge) !!

Program Objective

The objective of the program is to enhance the role and impact of the GDLN in connecting practitioners, policy-makers, academics, students and facilitators of development; and to provide a multi-dimensional approach to learning about Korea’s development experiences.

Program Structure

I. Distance Learning Seminar Series
The KDI School’s Distance Learning Seminar Series will cover lessons on various dimensions of Korea’s E-Government, which was ranked number one in the UN E-Government Survey for three consecutive terms. This program highlights some of our more notable lessons on Korea’s remarkable E-Government system, while drawing from other country experiences. The program consists of seven GDLN videoconference seminars that is organized over a five-month period.

II. Face-to-Face Training Program

To enhance the overall learning experience of this Series, the videoconference series will be followed by a face-to-face training program in Seoul, Korea. This is a unique opportunity for participants to learn more about Korea’s exemplary strategies and visit key industrial and cultural sites to witness firsthand what Korea has achieved today in the field of E-Government.

Participants will be encouraged to take part in debates and share professional experiences and case studies. Courses will be taught by KDI School faculty, practitioners, and guest speakers.

Participants who have participated in all seven of the videoconference seminars of the Series are eligible to apply to attend the Face-to-Face component of the program in Seoul, Korea. Selected participants will be entitled to roundtrip airfare, housing, and a modest stipend while attending the program.

Schedule

Who Should Attend

The Blended Learning Program at the KDI School is intended for experienced managers, general development practitioners and stakeholders who are currently involved in the development area. Since KDI School will hold its face-to-face program in conjunction with the International Forum on E-Government, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Interior and KDI School, participants should have a demonstrated level of expertise and professional experience in the area of E-Government to maximize knowledge exchanges and networking with other experienced E-Government related policy makers and practitioners.
