ISI Web of Knowledge
In mid-December 2006, EndNote Web, a Web-based reference organizer and writing solution, fullly integrated with ISI Web of Knowledge, is available for ISI customers as a new, free* personalization option that makes exploring research literature and writing papers easier than ever, and they can use EndNote X, EndNote Web, and ISI Web of Knowledge together to save time and work more effectively. With EndNote Web, users can:

  • Search ISI Web of Knowledge, PubMed and hundreds of library OPACs directly
  • Import references from hundreds of online bibliographic databases
  • Store up to 10,000 records per user account
  • Edit reference detail — add notes and keywords, modify any field
  • Use over 2,300 publishing styles to format in-text citations and bibliographies
  • Cite While You Write™ in Microsoft Word (requires plug-in)
  • Format papers in other word processors using RTF (rich text format) files
  • Simplify collaboration with colleagues — share EndNote Web folders
  • Use EndNote Web toolbars in Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla® to access your reference library in one click, and capture citation data easily (requires plug-in)
  • Transfer references between EndNote Web and EndNote X seamlessly (desktop to Web or Web to desktop)

With the introduction of EndNote Web late last year, we are very pleased to annouce that all ISI Web of Knowledge customers now have unlimited number of simultaneous users. There is no longer any 3 or 5 or 8 concurrent users per institute limitation since mid-February 2007. Therefore, Chulalongkorn University and all ThaiLIS members now have unlimited access to ISI Web of Knowledge including ISI Web of Science with 3 Citation Databases, namely Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI), Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI Extended), and Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), supported by the Office of Information Technology Administration for Educational Development (สำนักงานบริหารเทคโนโลยีเพื่อการพัฒนาการศึกษา) under the Commission on Higher Education (CHE or สกอ. - สำนักงานคณะกรรมการการอุดมศึกษา).

However, Chulalongkorn University can access 3 Citation Databases back to 1993, with the fact that the Center of Academic Resources (CAR or สถาบันวิทยบริการ) has subscribed to these databases for more than 10 years. Moreover, Chula users can have full use of 2 Chemistry Databases and 2 editions of ISI Journal Citation Reports as subscribed by CAR since 2004.
